PIPING MATERIAL ENGINEER
The Jobs:
Ã.· To provide a focal point for knowledge/expertise in all aspects of specific types of piping system and associated technology as allocated by the Lead Engineer
Ã.· Execute the delegated work schedule with limited supervision and supervise assigned personnel when appointed to Lead Engineer roles
Ã.· Prepare or check, specifications, data sheets, requisitions, bid summaries, technical recommendations, calculations, analysis, designs and drawings, etc., as required, for approval by the Lead Engineer/Project Manager
Ã.· Review vendor drawings and documentation and assist with inspection of piping component as required.
Ã.· Coordinate Discipline activities within Piping Engineering, with other departments and liaise with vendors or client on specific project assignment. Also co-ordinate subcontract activities as necessary to meet project and proposal completion dates
Ã.· Maintain awareness of correct technology to improve and broaden expertise by identify new piping component, technology and develop improved techniques and methods of working to effect greater efficiency
Ã.· Ensure Compliance with Codes of practice, Standards, Company Standards and Procedures and Health and Safety Regulation

The Requirement:
Ã.· BSc standard is preferred
Ã.· Corporate membership of the Institution of Engineers is desirable
Ã.· Substantial experience gained at an engineering contractor is required
Ã.· Able to work with limited supervision
Ã.· Minimum 3 years experience in oil & gas industry
